Why was Malaysia's Home Minister saddened over the death of South-East Asia's no. 1 terrorist Noordin Mohamed during an Indonesian police shooting raid.

Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein siding with a killer must have confounded many people. Is this one of those gaffes or misplaced sympathies exhibited more often than desired by Malaysian leaders? Noordin was a militant mastermind who eluded capture for nine years and terrorised Indonesia with a string of deadly bombings. Did Datuk feel any sadness for the sufferings of victims and their families?

Malaysia is a modernist Islamic country or is it revealing the lesser known side as a supporter that is attracted to terrorists. Would it become a breeding ground for Islamic extremists if controversial and dangerous thinking are propagated.
