XP, your question cum poll is timely.

I was surprised by the appearance, during the weekend, of the images in the Forum Index. Firstly, it is not possible for these images to truly reflect the broad subject matter they represent. Secondly, they are very distracting, especially the moving or flickering ones. Permitting one personal AVATAR image per poster for his profile is enough as this will be sufficient to let others decipher a view of him from the image.

I suggest removing the images from the Index, as they are neither creative, nor artistic?

I believe some images are interesting and will lead readers directly to that particular section. I like the look of foods and beer and flowers. But I detest the prominence of a flag from any particular country. UN logo stays as it represents what this world forum is all about. The images for Peranakan may need revising, perhaps removed or substituted with a lady with sarong and kebaya. The format in this forum is not etched in stone. I believe the Administrators always welcome suggestions to make this forum interesting and appealing for readers.
