Why do more an more talents among Chinese emigre population willing to give up their American citizenship to return to China? They are no ordinary sea turtles but are distinguished experts at the top of their field. The grass is greener where the environment is not mature and still growing rapidly.

Asian students are willing to learn and pay respects to their teachers. There are challenges but this creates more opportunities for improvement and push the boundaries for new discoveries.

With funding cuts to science research since JBJ's time and more recently deniers of science and closed door policy in the political leadership, the future for scientific and technical research is bleak.

It is no wonder we are seeing a new trend.

Perhaps more respect and appreciation is given to those who return with their newly found talents? Maybe these returnees feel they can contribute more to a move backward nation?
