Dear forum participants,

One world talk forum administrators and moderators wish to inform all participants and readers of this discussion board that we will be making a transfer from the current version 2 to a newer version 3 forum software. The upgrade will ensure we get technical support and tap into the latest technical features available to forums.

The technicians of our Free Forums host may take days or weeks to process the changeover and on a first come first serve basis. Meanwhile there will be no disruption at all to the daily operation of this forum. As you might already know, we do not host or own this website, hence, the policies and advertisements are not determined by us. Anyhow, this is a good move that will benefit all users.

Noteworthy, however, is that avatars will not be automatically transferred with the upgrade. This will be a good opportunity for users to get new avatars after the new format is in place. The portal page will temporarily be unavailalble until a program modifications has been installed by the host. We regret that this is not within the power of this forum's Admin to instal mod. The Admin here will endeavour to make the minor adjustments as soon as the new forum takes effect so as to ensure a smooth transition.

The upgrade to version 3 is mandatory as set by the Free Forum host. The new software has been hailed as more user friendly and has many more features than the older version 2.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you encounter any bugs as a result of the upgrade. Feel free to post questions regarding the improvements if you need clarification. We will request the technical team to resolve and try our best to provide all the necessary information and assistance promptly.

Thank you and have a great week.

Dear All,

We wish to inform users, participants and members of oneworldtalk forum that the phpBB2 format we are currently using will be converted to phpBB3 system.

Our forum administrators have been alerted by our Free Forum host of the auto conversion. The transition will hopefully be smooth and bring forth more useful features.

Only two areas may be affected :

1. Some of the avatars may not be auto transferred. Forumers could take the opportunity to load a new avatar.

2. The portal page showing the latest posts will be temporarily unavailble till Free Forum technicians work out a program to incorporate this in the new format.

Look forward to the latest update.

Thanks for sharing this piece of good news. This is going to be having a major upgrade for this forum going from from phpBB2 to version phpBB3. It should take a day or two to complete. You may experience short intervals of interruptions when technicians of the FF host are tweaking with the new format. I believe this will be a very good upgrade for forum posters. We will be able to do alot more things with the forum such as sub-forums and interactions. Cheers.

Congratulations! The transition has been smooth and hassle free. We wish to thank all our members for their patience, understanding and cooperation. Last but not least, we thank the Free Forums webhost technical staff for working tirelessly on the programs in the background.
